Hello friend,
So a little about me...
The pursuit of creativity has always been a driving force.
I grew up drawing and painting with any medium I could find (which got me in trouble on more than one occasion when I was little!). While my artistic skills are predominantly self-taught, I am a firm believer that education is vital to success. Most people that visit my website don’t realize that I hold a Master Artist degree, a Master Photographer degree, as well as a Photographic Craftsman Degree. I am also a Certified Professional Photographer. That makes me uniquely equipped to create beautiful art in several mediums.
Since 2001, I have been using the skills I've learned creating commissioned works of art in oils, graphite style, as well as creating commissioned hand-rendered, mixed media artwork. I accept a limited number of photographic sessions each year for children and families as well as high school seniors with the ultimate goal from those sessions being a custom painted art piece for the client's home.
I have received numerous awards for my work, including being one of less than a dozen people in history to ever be given the honor of "double diamond" in an international competition that garners over 5,000 entries each year. I have no greater pleasure than this!
I have often been asked what my philosophy is regarding my art. It's actually quite simple...
"Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." Colossians 3:23
I approach each and every art piece I create with this mindset because I want them to be the absolute best I can possibly make them!
